Pathways To Healing
Newsletter
Vol. 1

I have always believed that we are here for a reason and to that end I
have spent my life searching for my purpose. My belief in past lives
stems back to my childhood, as I have always been interested in the
unknown.

                                                            DÉ JA VU

I experienced concrete proof of de ja vu on a trip to Rome over 25 years
ago.  It was my first trip to Italy and, as I excitedly packed my
things, the anticipation was building.  I thought about visiting the
Roman ruins of ancient times where history was alive in the ancient
remnants of the last symbols of a civilization long gone.  A place where
the roots of our political system were founded.

A strange feeling came over me as I walked through the gates of the
Roman Forum.  I was compelled to walk to the back of the city where
there were large steps leading to a plateau that overlooked the entire
city.  Two archways with a statue set within each one commanded my
attention.  I looked at the huge statue of a man and I immediately
recognized him.  I said to my traveling companion, "This is Marcus
Agustus".  I felt a warm affection for him, as I knew we were old
friends.  He was my only ally at that time.  I knew he was a senator in
the Roman Forum, that he was a close friend of Caesar, and that he had
tried to avenge Caesar's brutal murder.  I was overcome with sadness, as
a flood of memories started to come back.  Marcus Agustus was a gentle
man with wisdom and understanding of the position I was placed in.  I
somehow knew that I was not liked by the people of Rome and that many
wanted me out of the way for their own political aspirations.  I knew
that I was Egyptian and, although I had a high position, I was still not
considered an equal as I was female and not a Roman citizen. To be a
Roman citizen was the highest status that one could achieve at that
time.  This entitled you to all rights under Roman law, and Roman law
was the only law.  Rome ruled the world.
As I looked around the rose gardens, I knew that Marcus and I had been
there many times before, pondering my dilemma.  These feelings were
overwhelming.  Snapping back to reality, I suddenly commented to my
companion "this is a temple".  There was no structure standing.  There
were only pathways and flowers. I bought a book from a vender prior to
entering the Forum and the thought came to me that I could verify our
location in the book.  As I flipped through the pages, I found what I
was looking for, a map of the Roman Forum with a reconstruction of how
it stood 5,000 years ago, and the way it looks now.  Every structure was
numbered with a title.  Under each location I quickly found our location
and, to my amazement, it read No. 21, the Temple of Agustus.  (Every
hair on my body stood up.)  Then I looked at the other statue and
recognized it also.  I felt pure hate for him.  I didn't remember his
name, but I knew he was a general in the Roman army and that he was one
of Caesar's murderers.  I thought how ironic that these two arch enemies
had to stare at each other for all eternity.  I knew this man had caused
me many problems and that he was determined to eliminate me.
As I walked to the edge of the plateau, I pointed to Caesar's Palace.
From this vantage point, I could see the entire city below.  Waves of
nausea flooded my entire body.  I was in a state of remembrance as I
said, "look what they've done to it".  The Romans were barbarians and
warriors, and the only culture they had achieved was what they had
stolen from the Greeks and the Egyptians.  I felt a terrible sadness for
myself and for a culture that had such greatness and potential but had
fallen into this state of degradation.  The only reminders left were the
ancient ruins of a city that once symbolized man's highest achievements
in the fields of government, engineering, architecture, medicine,
philosophy, art and agriculture.
As I descended the steps that led back to the center of the city, I was
attracted to a small building that was still intact.  As I entered
through the massive burlwoood doors, I knew it was the small
meeting house of the Roman Senate.  It was a place where the individual
parties would meet and debate issues amongst themselves and then go down
the road to the large meeting house and debate the opposing party.  I
looked in the book and found No. 6, the Curia, the small meeting house of
the Roman Senate.  As I looked down the road to where the large Senate should
have been, there were steps leading nowhere.  An entire huge structure
was gone.  I thought, how did I know these things?  Perhaps I had
learned them from my history classes in school, but in my heart I knew
they never showed me a map of the Roman Forum.  My rational mind began
to take control.  I decided to do some research of my own.  The trip to
Italy had given me more than I expected.  When I arrived back in the
states, I reflected on the strange events of my trip.  My mind was
focused on getting some verification on the strange events that had
happened.  On the second day, I went to the library to do some
research.  I looked for Marcus Agustus, but he wasn't in our history
books.  My search led to a dead end.  I thought, perhaps he was an
obscure senator and not important enough at the time.  Then I reflected
about how many senators we have now and how many will be acknowledged in
the history books.  After all, that was 5000 years ago.  I tried to put
it out of my mind.  Perhaps it was my imagination and all these things
had never really happened.  The memories were starting to diminish.
Three years had passed.  Then suddenly something happened that changed
my life forever.
I was in a restaurant in Miami when I saw a man who caught my
attention.  He wore a gold chain loosely draped around his neck, from
which hung an old roman coin.  This was a museum piece primitively
imprinted with a man's face.  My eyes were transfixed as I stared at the
coin.  I asked him where he got the coin.  He said he got it from his
father, who got it from his father.  I asked where he was from.  He
responded, "Florence Italy".  I asked if he was a good student of
Italian history.  He said, "yes".  I asked if he had ever heard of
Marcus Agustus.  He said, "but of course".  I asked, "who was he?"  His
answer gave me confirmation on my de ja vu in Rome and proof that I had
lived another lifetime.  What I had known and felt, but could not
explain in rational terms.  He said, "Marcus Agustus was a very famous
senator and was known to be a good  friend of Caesar and tried to avenge
his murder."
It was not just the knowing of these things that happened, it was the
emotional feelings that were associated with the experience that told me
it was real.
Not everyone has or will have an experience as impacting as mine.  For
some it could be an out of body experience while they are meditating or
under stress, for others the experience could come in dreams, hidden
talents that they came in with, a near death experience (NDE) or some
other paranormal experience that might trigger some knowing that the
soul is immortal.
If any of you have experiences you would like to share, e-mail me and I
will be happy to put it in my newsletter.
It is my belief that we choose our own experience before we come into
our present bodies, to learn and grow and for the purification of the
soul.  We are spiritual beings having a human experience.  We choose our
parents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, husbands, wives , friends,
pets, race, religion, country and birth date.  There are no
coincidences, only synchronicity.  Everyone we know we have known
before. The degree of the relationship depends on what lessons we need
to learn.

                                            Past Life Regression Therapy

I have had some amazing healing results when working with clients on
their issues.
In my seven years of practice as a clinical Hypnotherapist, I have had
many interesting cases, but none have been as interesting as the one I
shall describe.
